Assisting clients who have difficulties with participating in their self-care and daily tasks is the key role of an occupational therapist. Occupational therapy aims to improve your independence in tasks that are important to you. This may include tasks at home or in community. Compensatory mechanisms or adaptive equipment may be recommended.

Splinting is a provided service
If you are unsure whether or not you are fit to drive as a result of your condition or when you may be able to return to driving, then a driving assessment will assist you to make this decision for yourself or your family member.
Therapy is provided in the homes of clients who are experiencing difficulties at home or would prefer to receive therapy within their home. Home assessments are also provided to recommend appropriate equipment and assistive devices that may make life at home easier for clients. This service is available at any stage during the therapy journey.
Work assessments can be done to determine where you may require additional assistance at work as a result of your neurological condition, or to establish if you are still able to continue with your current work.
